The download from Bank is something that is very poorly implemented in iBank 3 and on MoneyDance, so as soon as you fix the Chase bug, I'll be interested to see how it goes.
In MS Money, for all its faults, it is very easy to mix between downloading transactions and manually inputting them. I generally try to input things as I spend and every few days download. MS Money then tries to match things up (usually does ok) and you can accept or change the proposed matches.
In iBank and in MoneyDance, you only have the option if importing or ignoring transactions that are proposed for download. If you ignore them, then appear again and again until those items have physically been reconciled. In other words there is no benefit for actually inputting things manually.
I noticed on my Amex account, which was the only thing I could get going with the direct connect, that when you import data, it doesn't know what account to go to unless you tell it (is this because I did not input the account numbers when I set them up?)
If you have seen MS Money working, what do you think of the auto-matching feature they've implemented?
Cheers
