Closing mymoney (mac version)

I don't use the program that often. I have noticed that if I open mymoney and not add any data, it quits fine when I want to shut it down. However, anytime I have entered transactions into the program, when I go to quit it freezes and I have to force quit. I believe this has operated in this manner ever since I first purchased in 2 years ago. I am currently running version 2.0.64 and my free upgrades expired in Feb. Any suggestions??

I'm using Mac OS X version 10.6.7 running snow leopard.

Hello,

There are few things to check; for example - do you run a screensaver? On certain systems default Money screensaver(matrix) can significantly slow down the application. Where is your data file located? If it is on an external or networked drive this also could slow down the application some.

Lastly, perhaps you are trying to backup your data on exit and there are problems with the backup location. You will need to double check where the data is being backed up to, you can set this through Preferences/General backup

Thanks,
