Memorised Transactions

Postby twodogron » Tue Nov 11, 2008 6:40 pm

Hi,
I'm a newbie to My Money...
Using O/S Windows, XP Pro SP2..
I'm evaluating My Money 2.0.37 and generally finding everything fine so far.
I've Imported many hundreds of records from some QIF formatted files and although some have not been imported with the correct Categories and Account Transfer entries I can get around that problem.
My problem, and I'm afraid there might be a simple solution staring me in the face, but believe it or not, I can't find a way of Memorizing a Transaction and I normally (in MS Money) use around 14 monthly recurring transactions..
Please, someone out there, help me out.
I have a feeling there's a very simple solution somewhere............

To memorize a transaction please:

1) Highlight an existing transaction first in the register

2) Press Ctrl-y (Quick Edit-Memorize Transaction)

3) In the the dialog please give the transaction some meaningful name and specify recurring options if any

4) To view list of memorized transactions please press Ctrl-t (Quick Edit-List memorized transactions_ or press the yellow star button on a toolbar

You are right, it is quite simple actually. We will be adding some more functionality to memorized transactions bringing it closer to Microsoft

Thanks MTHAdmin,
After posting my question I searched around the Forum/FQA and found reference to ctrl-y and now understand where I was going wrong..
Just seems such a waste not to have such a fundemental action not more clearly defined in the Help somewhere..
Any way, great program, very pleased with it so far.
Thanks for your advice.......
