Split Transaction Not Working

Running the trial version on a MAC. I am trying to input a split withdrawal transaction into my checking account. I have tried at least 10 times and every time the program states that my split total does not match my transaction total and offers to adjust it. The program then changes my transaction into a deposit transaction and I have to delete it and try again. VERY FRUSTRATING. What am I doing wrong? I've used MSMoney for 10 plus years and really want to like this program, but I input a lot of split transactions and if MY Money can't handle it, then it's a show stopper for me.

This is a bug that was introduced during the last release cycle.

We have a new build 2.0.27 planned for Friday (11/07), the fix for split withdrawals will be included into it.
