Database has been locked up by another program

Working on updating a computer for a friend and am now unable to access the My Money account. Getting the "Database has been locked up by another program" although another version of MyMoney has not been used.

She is on 2.0.48, so I later attempted to download the latest Free version from the app store (this is all on a Mac) and am getting the same error.

Anyway to manually un-lock this database?

Thanks for any ideas.

Darren

Hello,

The database could be locked by an instance of the app still in computer memory - try to reboot the Mac and see if the problem goes away

Thanks,

Thank you. Have tried to reboot, deinstall and reinstall the software and keep getting the same message.

Hello,

You may actually have a data corruption issue, this happens sometime if Mac was not brought down properly or the data is housed on a network share or the dropbox didn't synchronize the files properly

Please unzip your backup into a different folder, please use File-Open and navigate into that folder

Thanks
