Entering Register Information

Not sure my last post went out, not finding it. Anyway, I am just now trying to enter for the first time a transaction. It is a Deposit, so I started to write out from who, then put in the dollar amount. Well I only have the option of CANCEL, the option of ENTER is grayed out, what am I doing wrong?

From our manual:

New Transaction

To enter a new transaction:

* Click on the Withdrawal, Deposit or Transfer tab corresponding to the type of transaction you wish to enter.
* Enter the details of the transaction.
* Click Enter.

At a minimum you need to enter: Deposit Date, Deposit Payee (who wrote you a check), Deposit Category, for example Paycheck and Deposit Amount

Once these are filled Enter becomes available and you can post the transaction,
