I have updated to 2.087 now I can't open any files including backed up ones it says database locked by another program. I try to extract the backups and get the same error messages.
There is no other program open everything has been shut down what else can I do to retrieve years of info

What was the version you upgraded from ?

If it was a recent version 2.0.72 and higher then you shouldn't have any issues: please restart your computer and unzip your backup into a different folder, please use File-Open and navigate into that folder.
