Editing a Transaction - or not!

I'm not sure if this is a new issue, as in 'I haven't checked since I upgraded to version 2.0.86', but shouldn't I be able to edit the memo part of a transaction?
Because I entered quite a few in one hit, and didn't add Memo data at the time, I tried to enter this information retrospectively and it goes through the process - but there's nothing in the field
Previous transactions show stuff in the memo field - which I think I added at the time - but I can't seem to add stuff even though it's a very recent addition
