Hi

i genrally let the software do what it wants but notice over the past few days that its not importing stock prices. Tonight I have tried to auto download them. It cannot connect to Yahoo UK. In fact going to the list tab and securites none of the sources are available and I cannot connect any security to any finance source.
My internet connection is okay and nothing has changed on the PC. Can you help. By the way is a new version out soon?? I am in the UK

we will take a look, does the Yahoo UK site work for you at all (outside of MyMoney) ?


We are running last tests on new build, due out in a couple of weeks

All Stock downloads work on other applications okay.The last update in My Money was 10/07/13

Any news yet as stock prices re still not downloading and he securities cannot connect to any server when "lookup" is clicked on the security in list menu. A reply comes back "Your search for: MKS.L did not match any financial instruments please try refining your search". This happens on all my securities and all data sources. Please let me know if you find any solution as on as possible

So we looked into it and there are no apparent issues

Because things were working before and you haven't updated MyMoney recently there could be only 2 explanations:

1) Yahoo servers had an outtage

2) Your ISP started to filter the network calls

to check for #2, could you please take the laptop to a public WiFi, such as library or starbucks and try connecting from there

Thanks for your reply. I have the software on my Desktop PC so I cannot use another Wi-fi

What I have done is

Do a system restore back to October 4th. This takes all settings back to
before the problem began on October 7th

I reinstalled the software

I disabled my Norton firewall

The result was that all securities could STILL not be updated
or connected to a source. No change

Moreover trying to update security prices manually does not work either. The price does not change in the portfolio another problem!

Getting a little concerend about this

Any help would be appeciated

Further to my previous query I think I have sussed it ....fingers crossed!

I had an old MyMoney database "OurMoney" which I stopped using in May 2013 and the current database "NewMoney" which includes history all the way back to 2006.What I did was whilst in my current database I opened the old OurMoney database whilst still in the software.

I asked it to download quotes and IT WORKED. After sitting thinking it must be an error in NewMoney database. Do I overwrite the OurMoney database? No I thought. So I just switched back to that and yes it began to work again

After some jiggery pokery its seems to be okay. Heaven only knows why it stopped working perhaps your tech guys will know but I though I would tell you its seems to be okay.

As we said in the email, most likely your ISP started to filter the content, it is hard to detect but when it happens then the previously working connection just disappears

Refering to my previous message. I thoroughly tested the software stock price download last night and
all seemed to be ok. I backed up at 23.00 hours UK time.

Today I opened the software and yes I had a message "No Data Available at Yahoo Uk and Ireland" I tried to reconnect one of my secuirites by clicking "lookup" on the screen and got the same message as before "
Your search for: RMG.L did not match any financial instruments please try refining your search".So back to square one.

So I cleaned up my computer cleaned up all temp files and uninstalled the software . I then cleaned up registry and reinstalled 2.0.86 version.
and restored my backup from last night All secuities have a blue sign.when manual price update is clicked and you drill down. Still getting a message
"No Data Available at Yahoo Uk and Ireland"
I really cant understand how it all works okay at 23.00 hours then a few hours later doesnt.. Very odd!!! Any further ideas
