Connecting to my bank

Postby maeupdegraff » Thu Sep 04, 2008 6:29 am

How in the heck am I supposed to know all of my bank's OFX stuff? This is driving me nuts! I have always used Quicken, until I purchased my Mac, and I've not found a financial program that works since! ORG, FID, OFX server? I'm a dental asssitant, not a computer programmer. I like the appeal and layout of this software. I've also done my research and I know this is the one that is 'recommended'.

I'm at a total loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chevy Chase Bank does not offer direct access to their accounts from My Money, or any other desktop software at this moment.

You still can download your accounts, but you need to do it manually.

If you login to Chevy Chase online banking they have Account Information- View Activity tab. In there they have a Download.
To our knowledge they offer both Microsoft and Quicken downloads. We prefer Microsoft, but you can select either.

Save file locally, start-up My Money, and import this saved file using File-Import Data-Import OFX File.

Once the file is imported you will see your transactions inside of My Money

You can import transactions this way as often as you would like, typically if you do it once a month you will build your entire banking history.
