Mentioning MTH MyMoney

Hi Guys.
As a user of MS Money for many years I have to report that in the UK as of July 1st 2013 Stock and Share prices stopped auto updating. On a UK web forum many users were asking of a replacement. I have been running Msmoney along side MTH but now it looks as if MS Money will be redundant. I mentioned MTH My money as a good replacement I have been using it for several weeks now.. Its similar in layout and a breeze to set up. There are a few tweaks I could suggest. Pressing ENTER to enter the transaction instead of having to click would be a good one. Although stock prices auto update on startup thanks to the latest build the portfolio value doesn't. That really needs a look to be addressed as users are not getting a true value of their investments unless one closes and restarts the application which is a pain.. Android/iPhone app must also be on the list . The software could also use an envelope budgeting tool for those who need or wish to use a budget. Just a few things to make an excellent software tool even better.

We didn't realize portfolio value is not being updated on a startup. Does that happen on a 2.0.86 build ?

What is happening is that when I open the software the stock / share values auto-update which it wasn't doing in 2.0.85. which is great. However the portfolio window does NOT update the value of holdings as well. If you immediately close the software and re-open it the portfolio values are then updated. In reality I assume both should be updated when the software is opened first time. One shouldn't need to close and re-open to update portfolio values. An idea for future editions of the software would for the portfolio values to update automatically every few minutes as they did in MS Money and a refresh button... Just a thought.
with kindest regards
Pete

We can add a refresh/recalc button for portfolios - probably will appear in 2.0.87 timeframe (30 days or so)

Hello,

It took a little longer than we originally estimated but we added a Refresh function to Portfolio Analytics menu, this will appear in 2.0.87

Thanks
