Currency transfers

I have multi currency accounts. When I TRANSFER from one to the other there is no currency conversion, so it's of no use. When I transfer say £1000 from my GB pounds sterling account I want to see the converted amount in my Wells Fargo $US account otherwise its not a currency transfer. Also it means when you report say Net Worth it is not correct. The numbers are correct but of course your transfers show 1,000 but the WF account should show approx 1,900 (at present xchange rate)

I have emailed MTH but to date no reply. MS Money & Quicken(ONLY PC version) transfer at the rate on the day when they are set to auto download exchange rates rates. I thought MyMoney was going to be the answer to my prayers for a MAC money program that does multi currency but alas.........

Any suggestions?

BTW the other MAC money program iBank is the same!!
Frustrated :( :!: :?

Hello,

We have received your email. We are actually looking at how to accurately reflect currency exchange rates, whether to have it resolved automatically
through an online broker or have a user type it in.

In your situation, when you have this transfer, what would you prefer ? Have a dialog pop up similar to Microsoft Money asking you to provide the exchange rate or a fully automatic rate resolution behind the scenes ?

Thanks

I have just noticed this too.

Personally I would prefer the ms money-like popup option to enter the exchange rate per transaction as I frequently get back from trips and have withdrawn cash over a period of days at different banks etc with slightly different exchange rates.

Build 2.0.35 detects transfers and split-transfers that need adjustments because the source and destination accounts are denominated in different currencies.

My Money will popup a dialog asking for the exchange rate, if so desired it will automatically download the most recent available exchange rate information for a given currency pair
