What is the Renewal Product for My Money?

I was looking at your purchase page (in anticipation of my purchase) and I found a link to Renewals. Clicking the link led to these options:

#36- Renewal - MyMoney 2.0 (single user) $31.96
#37- Renewal - MyMoney 2.0 (family pack) $51.96
#38- Renewal - MyMoney 2.0 (with FreshBooks.com Integration) $39.64
#39- Renewal - MyMoney 2.0 (family pack w/ FreshBooks.com) $59.96

Would you please explain the purpose of this Renewal product? Is a yearly renewal required?

How often should I upgrade my My Money license?

Upgrades are optional and they are 20% off the full license price.

An initial purchase of My Money includes a one year subscription to My Money, and may optionally be renewed yearly at 20% discount of the full price at the time of renewal.

Subscription/Support/Maintenance Agreement:

1. Price is 20% discount of the full license price.
2. Includes support
3. Includes bug fixes and maintenace releases
4. Includes major upgrades

Just to clarify, say I do not renew at the end of year 1 because I am satisfied with the version I am using. Then 10 or 14 months later you add features that I really want, can I still purchase the renewal product at the later time?

That's correct, we don't count number of times you renewed or how much time elapsed between renewals.

What counts is that you had a full license at some point and are renewing. You can also upgrade/downgrade product choices at renewal, for example you can chose to purchase renewal of a Family license even though your original license was a single user license.
