Requested Features for Investment Module for Mac

I have been using Windows Quicken for 15+ years but recently switched to a Mac. Currently I am running Win Quicken with BootCamp on my Mac while waiting for the promised release of the new Quicken for Mac. I was completely floored when Quicken recently disclosed that the new Mac program would NOT track individual investment transactions. This is the final insult. I am officially seeking a replacement program.

I am not an active trader but I need to be able to identify and track individual lots for tax implications regarding long/short term capital gain/loss. I want automatic downloading of current quotes. I've resigned myself to keying in my existing data from Quicken by hand. I have tried to import Quicken data into several Mac financial programs with no success. I'll only need to key data for my current holdings since I will keep my existing Win Quicken via BootCamp setup for historical information.

I can live for now with my current setup but I really hope you are able to produce an investment module for the Mac within a year.

Thank you.

Hello,

My Money Investments supports tracking of lots, as well as automated end of the day stock updates.

Additionally, we plan on providing a streaming intraday stock data feed service for customers who need it, this will be at a separate monthly data subscription package.

Thanks,

MTH Team

Hi,
I am anxiously waiting for the investments module having switched from MS Money but after also trialling the beta of Quicken Financial Life. I found it very easy to import my QIF data straight into MyMoney, the only issue I had was with dates of transactions which for some unknown reason were mostly amended to 2011 and 2012. Other than that I amended entries to fit my categories but the actual figures and payees etc were all imported okay.

HTH,
Mickey

Hello,

You may need to adjust how your dates are interpreted, you probably want to change your import file locale to UK-English in Preferences/Import.

Also, please open one of your QIF files in a texteditor and see what is the format for dates, if it is Day/Month/Year you may want to adjust Date Pattern in My Money from
MM/dd/yyyy to dd/MM/yyyy

Thanks,
