Problem Merging a Sub-Category with a Category

I want to move a sub-category to a category level. I have created a new category with a similar name. I select both the sub-category and new category and open the Merge function under the List tab. I select the destination category and press merge. I get an error message saying it was unable to save the data. I pressed the button saying Send Bug Report and I get another error message saying "unable to connect with mthbuilt. I copied the detail script from the error message and opened the bug report under the Help Menu, copied the info into the bug report and sent it but also received the same error message saying "unable to connect with mthbuilt. I am stymied. Any help would be appreciated.

FYI, I am a new user of this software, encouraged by what I see so far as I embark a on real test of its effectiveness.

You may have a firewall setting that prevents outgoing connections to ftp.mthbuilt.com, which is what bug reports are being sent to
