How to uninstall MyMoney from a Mac

Hi, I've installed MyMoney 2.0.85 trial version from the website (not the App Store) on my Mac (OSX Mountain Lion). I've messed up my data import, and really want to uninstall the trial version and all data, and start again with a purchased version. I've read other posts which say to uninstall the app by dragging and dropping into the Trash, but that doesn't work (because it's not an app??). I can't find anything in the MyMoney software or on my Mac that says how to get rid of the software! Can anyone help?! Thanks.

Hello,

1) if you drag MyMoney into the trash on Mac will uninstall the application. Please take a look at this wiki article http://wiki.mthbuilt.com/How_to_uninstall_My_Money

In non-app store versions (i.e. trial versions or purchased directly through us) such uninstall will not delete your data. You will need to remove the data separately

2) If you need to start over because your are trying import options then don't need to uninstall MyMoney at all, you can simply use File-New-New File menu to create a new file. If you select an existing file it will overwrite it

Thanks,

Thanks for the advice. Two questions:
1. How do I delete the data (so that I can uninstall the trial version of MyMoney)? I've tried various ways of deleting individual transactions from my multiple accounts - but some data simply won't delete, and this is also time-consuming.

2. How do I "over-write" the existing (corrupted) file? I tried creating a new file but it has just created a new file in addition to the existing corrupted file.

Help!!! This is so frustrating.

Hello,

The data is kept in a special folder, its pre-created on a Mac in your Documents folder. If you can't locate it please search your Mac for folder named moneyDb, once found please note the location and delete it from Finder

You may have multiple moneyDb folders - if you don't need them you can go ahead and delete all of them

Thanks
