Wells Fargo connection

Postby tonyroder » Tue Jul 28, 2009 8:02 pm

Having worked out several xfer and register glitches, the time had come to see if I can connect to WF for account updates as I do in MSMoney.
Alas, I was rejected with error message 15500. I called WF customer service, which advised me that WF does not support My Money. Shame on them!

OFX Code: 15500
OFX Meaning: Signon Invalid
Context Money Message
SIGNONRS Please verify that your user information and password are correct, then try your call again..

Double check your password/user name, these are case sensitive.

Also, you may want to experiment with AppVer/AppId, more in our wiki http://wiki.mthbuilt.com/Tweaking_OFX_Connections

Thanks

Spoke again with WF, which confirms that they do not support My Money, nor do they expect to support a MyMoney QFX in any foreseable future.

During the conversation I asked whether the QFX server associated with WF in Setting Up QFX connection (https://www.oasis.cfree.com/3001.ofxgp) is a valid address, and was informed that it is used exclusively with QuickBooks. I tried a QBW AppVer and all the AppIds in the Tweaking chart, with no more success than when I used the various Money AppIds.

I guarantee that my password/username are exactly the ones I use to access the WF web site. I would hate to abandon MyMoney over this matter.

Hello,

Unfortunately there is very little we can do to influence Wells Fargo. We find that banks are very concerned with security and unauthorized account access and that influences their decisions.

If Wells Fargo allows you to download their statements and save it locally to your desktop you can try to follow that route. It is not nearly as convinient as a one button syncronization but it is a workable solution.

Thanks,

That is quite regretable... I had built great hope for this program, but now...

I'll be happy to reconsider it when/if this impediment is removed, and in that regard, I would appreciate an email when/if that happens.

Best wishes for success

I too had high hopes for MY MONEY, until I learned Wells Fargo doesn't work with the program. The only work around is to log on to Wells Fargo account, download your account activity to a file and then import it into My Money. This is not near as easy, but does work. Any suggestions for getting Wells Fargo to work with My Money?
