Import from Quicken Essentials for Mac

HI,

I am currently using Quicken Essentials for the Mac. I am thinking of stepping over to a different finance program to track my cash situation. I have downloaded MyMoney to try for 60 days to see if it fits my needs. I want to import my quicken data in to MyMoney, but here I run into a problem. Quicken only offers to export to QXF, Quicken 2007 or CSV. Non of the options are the format that MyMoney supports. How can I import all my Quicken data in MyMoney?

Thank you!

Rosalie

Hello,

We are not very familiar with Quicken Essentials, but after looking at this application for a little bit it is clear that neither format is suitable for data transfer:

1) QXF is a proprietary to Quicken binary file, it is undocumented and we don't know what to do with it.

2) We generated CSV and it seems very poorly designed

If you export your data into Quicken 2007 can you export it out from there in a QIF or QFX (note middle F) or OFX formats?

We have supported loading Quicken data directly in the past (from the file, not through export/import) but discontinued it because there wasn't much demand for it, I suppose we could look into it again

Thanks,

We started working on QEM import - this will appear in build 2.0.85

That would be great! When do you think it should be available? Or do you need somebody to test it? I have a lot of data to import (about 3 years worth of transactions ;-))

Kind regards,

Rosalie

We are pretty far along, so in the next few days. If you don't mind we would like you to check it against your data before we release, we will let you know how to get a private build and will provide with a license if you need one

Thanks
