Postby rodbowkett@me.com » Thu Jun 04, 2009 10:34 am

I'm a long time MYOB user and i want to jump ship. Are there any VAT registered UK based users of this app who can share their experience with me before i give the trial a go?

OK, just started with trial version. Problem straight away. The 'setting up OFX Connection' dialogue seems to demand a selection from the 'Account held at' drop down and my bank is NOT included in the list. mm just contacted my bank for the various codes required but they don't support OFX.
Looks like this app is US only then. Shame it looks good.

We have quite a few UK based users, in fact My Money is used in one of UK parliamentary commissions to keep tabs on their spending.

Re: OFX issue. Your bank may or may not support direct downloads. Here in the US many banks provide this service for an extra fee, usually within $10/month or so. You need to call the bank and find out if it is indeed supportred.

If a bank allows you to download the statement manually from their website in one of the recognized formats then My Money can import it. It is one extra step (login to the website and save the statement locally) but you have better control at what you are downloading

Thanks,
