Lost Database

Postby ClevesGang » Thu Feb 23, 2012 4:01 pm

I've had this happen before, I do not remember how I fixed this though. And I do not have time to try, I recall it took me a while to correct this the previous times.
I have a Mac. I know MyMoney kept saying it needed an update, I kept ignoring it, had other things to do. Then, when I did go to update, it said my license had expired, I did not recall having to pay for this each year when I purchased this... Anyway, my database went bye bye then. How do I get my checking information back into MyMoney?
Thanks!

Hello,

Please search your disk for a folder named moneyDb, you may have multiple entries on your system

Once found please use File-Open-Open file to load your database into MyMoney

If you are not finding moneyDb please take a look at spotlight preferences (if you are on a mac) to make sure that you are searching through all hard disks and through folder names as well, sometime spotlight would search the files and their content but would leave folder names out for some reason

You don't need to update every year (or at all if everything works fine for you); please send us an email if you need a copy of your license or a link to a previous version of MyMoney, you can pm us here on forum or send an email to info@mthbuilt.com

Thanks
