Missing payee

Postby alphie » Sun Nov 06, 2011 8:34 am

My bank (Santander UK) just overhauled its online banking system following several takeovers. Unfortunately they no longer support OFX downloading. The QIF downloads for banking appear to work OK, but Credit Card statements don't have any Payee fields, everything's in the Memo field. I guess this is the result of integrating disparate systems and presenting them through a pretty interface to make it appear like one system. Incidentally, they do have two separate options for Microsoft and Quicken which generate identical output.

Is there any option in MyMoney which would allow me to take the Memo data as the Payee in the absence of Payee data? If not, do you think this is a legitimate bug report I can submit to my bank?

In the meantime I guess I'll be dusting off my RegEx skills.

Helo,

No need for regexes, we put in a refactoring to swap payees and memos for our AU and NZ customers while back. You need to select transactions in question after download and the refactor with the swap, this would swap the fields and update transactions. You will need to clean the payees afterwards

Thanks,
