Bank connection setup

Postby josenphd » Thu Sep 15, 2011 10:36 pm

New user here for My Money. I think I got the right information for PNC bank ofx downloads. I"m using:

server: https://www.oasis.cfree.com/test.ofxgp
FID: 4501
ORG: ISC

The bank seems to "respond". However, the bank keeps saying that my password / account are invalid. Are they referring to the account/password that you get for quicken downloads through the bank? Because what they send you is a PIN, is my understanding. Is the PIN the password? Any information anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

They are referring to electronic pin that you setup for data downloads, it is different from your ATM pin.
If you used quicken with this bank then you they refer to this Quicken pin.

Please note that with some banks you need to explicitly authorize electronic access and there may be a fee associated with such access

Thanks,

Ok. I received my password from my bank. It works through Quicken 2010.

When I go to work it out with My Money, I get the warning "Unable to obtain account list from the bank: PNC". It seems to accept the login and password, it just won't download the transactions. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hello,

Before we start troubleshooting would you mind capturing a log of communications between My Money and PNC, please see our wiki page http://wiki.mthbuilt.com/How_to_debug_Bank_connection that explains the process.

Please sanitize the log before sending it to us, i.e. remove all user name/passwords and account numbers you may have.

Also, if you aren't on the latest public version (2.0.71 at the moment) please upgrade to it, please note that your personal data files, settings, licenses, etc are not affected by upgrades. You can uninstall My Money first or simply reinstall on top of an existing version,

Thanks,
