How do you change the filename for an existing file?

MyMoney works with databases, not files. The database in housed in a folder or directory, depending on the operating system.

To change the name please locate the folder and rename it through Finder or Explorer. Please don't change internal structure, i.e. your data should be located inside of moneyDb, log files inside of logs etc.

Once the parent folder name is changed you can open it through File-Open-Open File command in MyMoney


As always, please backup your data for safety, please use MyMoneys built-in backups facilities through File-Maintain Data-Backup database
