New User Qs - (1) File extension? (2) "Dual Categorization"?

I'm a new MyMoney user, on the 60-day trial.
I've been using Quicken for years. I recently switched from Windows to Kubuntu 8.10, am seeking a finance package that runs on Linux better than Quicken does (it runs under CrossOver Office but has speed / perpetual repainting problems).
Some initial questions...
1. Is there a recommended filetype I should use for my MyMoney files? (Not seeing a default, I just used ".mymoney")
2. More significant: I'm highly dependent on Quicken's ability (I think MS Money has something similar) to classify transactions two ways, independent of each other. In Quicken I did this by assigning to each transaction (or split transaction) a category representing the type of income or expense (e.g., "Concert Income / Admissions") and a class representing an event (e.g., "Concert 1"). I could then do reports by category, class, or category vs class. My question: Is there a ways to do something analogous in MyMoney? I certainly don't see a way to record two categories / classifications for a single transaction?
Thanks, Rob L
